In libris libertas, Why does the "gay rights movement" seem so obsessed with winning straight allies? As a queer person, I don't need or want straight allies. And I don't need a bunch of clueless, opportunistic straight celebrities spouting off about LGBTQ rights and gaining fame, fandom and devotion because of it without actually having to DO ANYTHING MEANINGFUL. After all that, where am I and others like me left? Exactly where we were from the very start: holding an empty sack.
